We are a couple, Eva and José! We live in Famalicão and we discovered the concept of barefoot in 2022 after the birth of our daughter. Since then, we have been learning a lot about footwear and the foot's physiognomy. We dream of a world where everyone wears shoes shaped like their feet and the strange thing is to see narrow and rigid shoes. Is this a utopia?
BAREFOOT: What is it?
Traditional shoes altered completely our feet, so most of us have feet shaped like shoes, that isn’t their natural shape. In opposition, barefoot shoes were designed to imitate the natural shape of feet, not creating any restrictions in movement.
Barefoot shoes can be described as shoes that protect the feet and due to their composition and characteristics give the sensation of walking barefoot, not interfering in the natural movements and physiological development.
Barefoot shoes are/have:
- Thin and flexible soles: That allow feet to move naturally without restrictions.
- Zero Drop: Promoting a more natural step.
- Wide Toe Box: Allows feet to spread natural without being compressed.
- Light: Made of light and breathable materials to keep the feet comfortable.
Barefoot is not just a trend, it is health and a tool that allows feet to be free, healthy and ready for each step to be taken with confidence.
Why Barefoot? Is it for everyone?
99% of children are born with perfect feet, 80% of adults have foot problems. The cause: footwear.

We believe that doing things just because it has always been done that way and not questioning it is at the root of some of the problems in the world today. We want to be part of the change we want to see in the world.
